The podium, left-to-right: Bobby Kau took1st Place B Class, Dirty Dan (aka Sean) overalled it again, and Ryan Moss walked away with the 1st Place A Class custom trophy.
That's Bob Kau in the far left background....but photographs don't have sound ;-)
This is the Bench Racing podium. Dirty Dan came in first by a good margin, while Speedy Pete and Crowbait were bangin' handlebars to sort out 2nd and 3rd, but Speedy came out on top with his Nazi vs. Onesie story.
Speedy Pete hands out the trophies and other goodies.
Leslie and Rachel showed up at various spots on the course to laugh at....I mean...cheer us on.
Nothing good could possibly come from hanging out with this group.
Super-secret pre-production '09 KX 950 XXRXR. That whole water-cooling fad has just about run it's course.
Andy "Mr. Biscuit" Kelly schmoozes with the fans.
The Harley was running 3rd overall, but he lost his radio reception and had to quit.
Super Secret DDFL test/race facility. It's location is one of those "I could tell ya, but then I'd have to kill ya" things.
The parking and pit area at the DDFL International Raceway. Well, OK, maybe not international, but close. There were guys from Iowa and Illinois, wherever that is.... they talked funny.
SSK and The Blue Van That Could.: Since Ken has all new gear and a new bike, it's hard to tell it's him on the trail. But you can sure tell it's him OFF the trail.
Checking out the scores. "Safety" Dan Fargin and Marc Terry did a phenomenal job with the scoring. The racers hardly even had to slow down through the scoring barrels.
John Strangfeld decided to take the vintage route. Apparently this one didn't turn quite as well as his GasGas in the GP sections.....so he "accidentally" cut a corner or two..
Larry "GQ" Berquist leads John Strangfeld over the rocks.
Ryan Moss kicked everyone's ass despite a bike that had NO top end. He later found his main jet resting peacefully at the bottom of his float bowl.
Brian "Dean" Breci shows how to deal with Speedy's Revenge. The next lap was...umm...not as pretty.
